Our Story
Austin Brooks, Owner
DryTight Roofing is a locally owned and operated general contracting company based in the beautiful town of Cross Plains, TN. Founded in 2020, we specialize in roofing and exterior services across Robertson County and surrounding areas.
My name is Austin Brooks, and I’m proud to be the owner and Roofing Advisor at DryTight Roofing. I grew up in a family of carpenters and hardworking tradespeople. My journey in construction began alongside my father doing residential remodeling—from painting and caulking at age nine to full-scale home renovations.
With over 10 years of experience in residential and commercial construction, I developed a deep respect for craftsmanship and customer care. My transition into roofing began during my time in Texas from 2018 to 2020. I started in roofing sales but quickly took on multiple roles, learning the business from the ground up. Driven by a lifelong dream of business ownership—and with the help of great mentors, relentless hard work, and a little luck—I launched DryTight Roofing in August 2020.
I’m a firm believer in the American Dream because I’m living proof of it. I believe in showing up, doing quality work, and taking great care of our customers like they’re family.
Outside of work, I’m a husband to my amazing wife Shakaira, and a father to two wonderful kids, Noah and Autumn. When I’m not on a roof, you’ll find me kayak fishing, hunting, gardening, or skateboarding through the neighborhood with my two dogs, Roxy and Koda.
