Our Story
Austin Brooks, Owner
DryTight Roofing is a locally owned and operated residential roofing contracting company I founded in 2020. DryTight Roofing is located in the beautiful city of Cross Plains, TN.
My Background: I grew up in a family of carpenters and hard-working blue-collar tradespeople. I began my career in construction alongside my father doing residential remodeling (as young as nine years old, painting, caulking, and home remodeling). 10+ years experience working in residential and commercial construction.
How did I get into roofing? My roofing career began while living in Texas from 2018 to 2020. I started in a roofing sales position but quickly learned how to fill various roles. Eventually, I realized I wanted to start my own roofing company, so here I am today! I always dreamed of becoming a business owner, and with some outstanding mentorship from some good friends, a lot of hard work, and a little luck, in August 2020, I made that a reality.
I believe in the American Dream because I am a product of it. I believe in hard work and taking care of my customers.
Outside of work, you can find me spending time with my amazing wife Shakaira, son Noah, and daughter Autumn. My hobbies include kayak fishing, hunting, skateboarding with my two dogs (Roxy & Koda) in my neighborhood, gardening, or just about anything outside. If you see me, say hello!
